Socketed bone points made from deer metapodials (foot bones) found in association with an adult male burial at the Mitchell Ridge site on Galveston Island. Clearly visible are remnants of asphaltum hafting cement found on the hollow marrow-cavity interior most socketed bone points, and sometimes stuck in the exterior grooves, such as the specimen on the right.
