We are currently developing exhibits on three broad themes in Texas cultural heritage: Frontier Forts; the Caddo of East Texas; and the Panhandle-Plains Villagers. A series of interrelated exhibits and features will appear on Texas Beyond History for each of these themes over the year. There will also be new activities for children and resources for teachers correlated to each topic.
These new exhibits are made possible by grants from the Texas Council for the Humanities, the Texas Preservation Trust Fund (Texas Historical Commission), the Houston Endowment, and the Temple-Inland Foundation.
