Historic photograph of a jacal and its occupants in the Redford area, ca. 1900-1910. Well into the 20th century, the people of La Junta (vicinity of present-day Presidio, Texas and Ojinaga, Mexico) used essentially the same materials and techniques to build their houses as the first La Junta villagers had, some 700 years earlier.
