These are parts of a hand-cranked grindstone used to sharpen tools. The catalog pages above show the price of the fixtures, or parts of the device. On the top right are examples of complete grindstones set up with a circular stone, known as a whetstone, for sharpening tools. As the advertisements says, it will put "a keen edge on all kinds of tools."
