These decorative buttons may have come from a variety of "Sunday-best" dresses or blouses, or from clothing used for special occasions, such as weddings and funerals! The button on the bottom row at left is made of black rubber and has bits of abalone sea shell inlaid to make a design. The two at bottom row right are made of black jet.
