Painting of prehistoric peoples
Paired red masks, each with conical caps, are among several masks painted under a ledge. Note the outlines of paired fish within the mouth area of the mask on right. Such use of twin elements may represent duality, a theme common to other cultures of the southwest and Mesoamerica.
