These eight rocks were found in the tool cache outside Hank's house. The rocks on the top row are (left to right), a large, a medium and a small quartzite mano and a greenstone pestle with battered ends. The bottom row rocks include (left to right) a small mano, a small metate with a round grinding basin, a small metate with flat grinding surfaces. The last rock (lower left) is a piece of poorly consolidated conglomerate with coarse grains of various minerals. It may have been used to provide grainy sand that was added to clay for making pottery. Photo by Doug Boyd.
