This small, chipped-glass arrow point was made from a piece of green bottle glass, likely a wine bottle. The gold coloration is caused by patination, or weathering. Traditional weapons and tools made of chipped glass or metal provide glimpses of transitional native technologies as Europeans began spreading their influence and goods over North America.
