Household and Kitchen Artifacts

This category constitutes 65 percent of the identifiable artifacts from the site, and represents activities that typically occurred in the kitchen or in a domestic setting. This includes a variety of artifacts, from food storage jars, serving dishes, and cutlery, to lamp parts and home furnishings. All glass bottles, even those containing non-food items, such as liquor or medicine bottles, are discussed in this section. The abundance of glass fragments indicates that the Williams family consumed a fair number of commercial products that came packaged in manufactured glass containers.
