Socketed bone points made from deer metapodials (foot bones). Remnants of asphaltum hafting cement was found on the interior, and sometimes stuck in the external grooves, of Lake Archaic socketed bone points found along the upper coast. These examples were found as grave goods at Mitchell Ridge on Galveston Island. TARL Collections.
