Rings

The most common objects found on La Belle were trade goods—items intended for bartering with local Native Americans in exchange for fur and hides that could be sold in France and numerous other goods. Among the trade items were quantities of glass seed beads—more than a million—as well as brass pins and needles, round mirrors, small brass hawk bells, tiny finger rings, knives, and axes.
